Blind Assessment: Sweet and richly high-toned aroma: lemon, flowers, fresh-cut cedar, honey. Lushly bright acidity, medium body, silky mouthfeel. In the cup the lavish acidity registers first, followed by a softer impression of night flowers, lemon, and a cedar note that rounds toward cocoa. Extraordinarily long, resonant finish, deeply saturated with flavor.
Notes: Grown in the Guji area of the Sidamo (also Sidama) growing region, this Ethiopian coffee is a dry- or "natural-" processed coffee, meaning the beans were dried inside the fruit rather than after the fruit was removed, as is the case with wet-processed or "washed" coffees. This coffee won first place at this year's Ethiopia Taste of Harvest Competition. Coava is a Portland based coffee roaster that aims to provide quality coffee and the knowledge needed to properly brew that coffee. Who Should Drink It: An extravagantly aromatic coffee, almost startling in its intensity.
Thank you Coava coffee for your great roast profile and summiting our coffee for coffee review.
